Hydrocodone
Overdose
Hydrocodone overdose can be severe and involve circulatory collapse, cardiac arrest, and death.
Caution with Hydrocodone
Indicators of dependent Hydrocodone
overdose and overuse include,
the lack of:
- Enjoyment
- Drive
- Emotional response
- Libido

Do not
exceed the dose of Hydrocodone compounds recommended
by your physician. Excess
consumption of acetaminophen (10 to 15 grams
in a period of 24 hours) will result in severe
hepatotoxicity (and recorded fatalities above
that dosage). Any amount above 4 grams daily
may cause jaundice, liver damage, and liver
failure.
Unintentional drug overdose ranks as the second-leading
cause of accidental death in the United
States, according to the Center for Disease
Control (CDC, 2004).
Federal law prohibits the sharing of controlled
narcotics like Hydrocodone with others.
